The KCCC Laboratories Department is made up of six laboratory areas including Histopathology, Flowcytometry, Cytology, Immunohistochemistry, Tumor Biology, and Molecular Biology.
Of all the labs, the histopathology laboratory plays not only a key role in cancer management in the center, but also provides consultation service for patients at peripheral hospitals, maintains the quality assurance criteria by providing true, accurate and precise diagnosis, provides high quality hematological diagnostic to oncology patients, provides a state of art autologous peripheral blood stem cells transplantation, maintains high standard of staff efficiency by regular in-service training, and provides a high standard blood bank, transfusion, flowcytometry, tumor marker and molecular studies for patients of KCCC.
